I'm Shankar Subramanian, and I’ve spent over two decades in senior finance roles helping businesses grow smarter, leaner, and stronger. From global multinationals like Honeywell and Cummins to private equity-backed companies like Time Manufacturing and Duravant, I’ve led FP&A, controllership, and strategy across industries and continents. I hold a CPA (Indiana), CA, CIA, CMA (India), and an MBA from the Indian School of Business — but what really defines me is my drive to turn complexity into clarity.

What inspired me to launch RelyCFO? After years in corporate finance, I saw too many businesses — especially founder-led or scaling companies — stuck making big decisions with partial information or limited support. I wanted to change that. Now, I work closely with business owners and leadership teams not just to report numbers, but to tell the story behind them — and help write the next chapter.

My journey began in traditional public accounting, but over the years I realized what truly drives me: solving problems, restoring confidence, and being the steady voice in moments of financial stress.
